While working for Tony Robbins, Amy was introduced to the idea that if you really, really want something you have to be prepared to “storm the island and burn the boats”. What she means by this is that if you want something that bad then you have to be ready to give yourself no return path to your previous comforts. By doing this you allow yourself no option other than success when things get difficult.

Amy practices what she preaches and gave up the comforts of her position with Tony and began pursuing her dream of starting her own business. Now her business is extremely successful and she attributes a combination of allowing no return path and accomplishing incremental shifts toward a new lifestyle.
